High School Tournament

Calling all high school rugby teams! Our high school tournament is designed to give your team the best game possible, relative to your level of play. Our annual High School tournament runs on Wednesday (Boys) and Thursday (Girls) during the second week of May. The aim is to bring schools from across the province together for one final test before OFSAA qualifying matches. There are elite, competitive, intermediate, and junior divisions, so all levels of experience are welcome.

No one knows their team better than the coach, so we want you to pick the division that best suits your players to get the most out of their day playing rugby. Our goal is to schedule your teams in a manner that provides the most minutes of play possible (all players where possible can achieve 90 minutes of play) with teams that are of equal or comparable ability on the pitch. When filling out the registration survey please include as many additional details as possible regarding your team and goals for the tournament so we can ensure you are in the correct division that will lead to a fun and successful day of rugby.

All games are played in the 15s* format and are scheduled for two 10-minute halves. All teams are guaranteed 3 games with a possible 4th game as the Championship game.

BBQ Lunch (hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs) also available for purchase

Tournament Details

LOCATION: London St. George’s RFC (4308 Dundas St. East London ON)

START / END: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

CATEGORIES: Junior / Senior Boys (Wednesday, May 14, 2025) and Varsity Girls (Thursday, May 15, 2025)

FORMAT: 15s

DIVISIONS:

Elite – Competing in district finals/regional championships/OFSAA
Competitive – Competitive in league play
Intermediate – Developing program transitioning from a junior to a senior team
Junior – Only Grades 9 and 10 participating

# GAMES / MINUTES: 3x20 minute games guaranteed. Possible 4th as the Championship game.

TOURNAMENT FEE: $350 per team (Please bring a cheque on the day of your tournament made out to London St. George’s Society)
