A Message From Our Club President

On behalf of London St. Georges RFC and all its members, I am delighted to extend a sincere welcome to all officials, players and supporters to our club. I am honoured to have been selected as President of this great club for 2015/16 season and I promise to represent the club to the best of my ability.

London St. Georges has been successful over the years because of the members who return year after year as players and volunteers to help ensure events get organized, games get played and everyone has a great time doing it.

Our club welcomes players from all levels, from beginner to very experienced. No matter your skill level or rugby experience we feel very strongly that there is a place for everyone on the pitch. We’re thrilled to offer playing opportunities for children of 5 years of age up to adults 60+, and encourage players and spectators alike to join us.

Our teams and coaches put forth an effort into training, playing and living an appropriate life style to be the best that they can be. For many St. Georges club members rugby is not simply a sport played in their free time; it’s a way of life. The relationships built on the pitch create some of the best memories off the field and carry us through life’s toughest times. This is something I can attest to personally and am truly grateful to have experienced time and time again.

I’d like to wish all of our teams the best of luck this season and note that we may not win every competition we play in; but I hope all our players are competitive on the pitch and represent themselves and our club honourably.

To the huge number of volunteers, without whose endeavours the club could not function as successfully as we have, a big thank you. The club has selected an exceptional executive who all put in many hours of unseen work; your efforts are appreciated and you are an invaluable asset to the club. Thank you also, to our many sponsors; your contributions are the lifeblood of the club.

Finally, I’d like to extend an open invitation to all rugby fans, St. Georges’ alumni, friends and family members to come out to any of our games, and participate in our events this season.

Yours in Rugby,

Margaret Dow
